Scientific Sessions

&

Teaching Courses

  • The session will start with playing the pre-recorded introduction by the convenors, followed by streaming the speakers’ presentations one by one.
  • After all the presentations have been displayed, the session will proceed with the live Q&A section. All speakers and convenors will be shown live on the screen.
  • The convenors should welcome the speakers, and remind the audience to submit questions via the chat feature on the right top corner of the screen.
  •  Attendees will be able to upvote comments in the chat field to highlight to the convenors which questions are the most popular. This will help convenors to choose which questions to address and to which speakers during the live Q&A.
  • The convenors will filter through the questions and address them to the chosen speaker, the speaker will then unmute their microphone and respond.
  • In case the audience have no questions, the convenors should come up with a key question to ask each speaker during the live Q&A. (just like they do when chairing a live in person event).
  • Speakers will be able to see the questions appearing in chat and be ready to answer them in the Q&A.
  • At the end of the session, the convenors should thank the speakers for participating and encourage the attendees to continue the conversation in the Networking Lounge of the Virtual Conference Platform.

* Please log in 30 minutes before the session start, for a technical test and preparation before the live session will begin.

Pre-recorded with
Live Q&A
Scientific Communication
  • The session will start with showing the convenors LIVE on the screen. They should introduce themselves, their session and main topics that will be addressed as well as invite the audience to submit questions in the chat feature during the talks which everyone will be able to see, and to ‘flag’ questions posed by others that they think are particularly important.
  • We encourage the convenors to use this brief introduction particularly to highlight controversies around the session topic and even pose a question that the audience can think about and can be discussed in the live Q&A after the talks.
  • After that, the presenters’ presentations will be streamed one by one for the audience to view them.
  • Once the presentations have been displayed, the session will proceed with the live Q&A section. All speakers and convenors will be shown live on the screen.
  • The convenors should welcome the speakers, and remind the audience to submit questions via the chat feature on the right top corner of the screen.
